Where ever possible haying of District drains is encouraged. A Haying Permit should be filled in and submitted to the District. There is no charge for the permit.
The District policy states that the adjacent landowner has first choice to hay the drain, if the landowner does not wish to hay the drain, then a permit can be obtained by someone else. The permits are usually for a three year period, but because all permits end the same year, the duration of the permit may be shorter. |
